Spark To Star celebrates the academic achievements of outstanding scholars from the Mangweni community. These awards recognize students in grades 6, 7, 10, 11, and 12 who have demonstrated exceptional dedication, resilience, and excellence in their academic pursuits
WHAT THE PROGRAMME DOES
This event is an opportunity to honour young leaders who embody the values of hard work, perseverance, and academic excellence. By celebrating these scholars, we aim to inspire a culture of achievement and success among the youth of Mangweni.
Eligibility and Selection Procedures for Academic Excellence Awards
To be considered for an award, learners must meet the following requirements:
- Attain a minimum of 60% in Mathematics and English.
- Achieve a minimum average of 60% across their top 6 subjects, excluding Life Orientation.
Selection Process for Students:
Winners will be determined based on the highest mark in Mathematics and the highest overall average. The student with the highest overall average will be declared the winner.
Selection Process for Schools:
The five primary schools and two secondary schools will compete separately. The school with the highest total average marks from its top 5 performing students will be declared the winner. All results will be obtained from official schedules and audited by Kesho charted accountant to ensure transparency and fairness.

Our Grade 6 and 7 students have displayed remarkable dedication and resilience in their learning journey, while the Grade 10, 11, and 12 scholars have excelled in core subjects like Mathematics and English, showcasing leadership and a strong commitment to excellence. These students serve as inspiring examples of hard work, perseverance, and academic achievement across all grade levels.
